Acquisition Program Management positions work with customers in a consultative manner, helping them solve problems based upon his / her team's creative solutions. Responsibilities may include any of the following areas: developing acquisition strategies; draft acquisition program documentation and briefings; prepare source selection documentation; track cost, schedule, and performance from a program management perspective; prepare briefings in support of the budget submission including Congressional Staffer Day reviews and OSD/OMB hearings; draft responses and impact statements in response to Congressional Marks from the defense committees; participate in the development of budget “what if” iterations; review proposals for soundness of management approach and cost reasonableness.
