Budget and Financial Execution positions work with customers as part of a financial team. The person has the potential to interact with various external organizations and internal departments. Responsibilities may include any of the following areas: Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Budget Execution, and Financial Execution.
MIPRs
Initiate, coordinate, execute, and track Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs) and all related activity; prepare execution status reports; compile execution-specific reports; conduct periodic reviews to monitor execution efficiency.
Budget Execution
Responsible for obligations, commitment, and expenditures and status reports utilizing STARS, FMIS, and AUTODOC. Provide support in the planning and coordination efforts for budget preparations. Examine the budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established Department of Defense procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives. Participate in internal and external program reviews.
Financial Execution
Responsible for financial execution, reports, and forecasts. This position requires the ability to data mine financial information, conduct financial analyses, and provide results in a management-level format. The capability to communicate and coordinate among organizations and departments within the confines of deadlines is extremely important. Participate in internal and external program reviews.
