(Huntsville – December 8, 2006) Paradigm Technologies, Inc. (Paradigm) celebrated the opening of its new Huntsville Operations office with a ribbon cutting ceremony today that featured local dignitaries such as Huntsville Mayor Loretta Spencer and the Missile Defense Agency’s Mr. Harvey Player, MDA Assistant Deputy for Agency Operations South. Paradigm’s new offices are located in Cummings Research Park at 689 Discovery Drive, Suite 302, Huntsville, Alabama.
“We are incredibly proud of our rapid growth in Huntsville that drove the need to open this new office,” explained Mr. Rob Koch, President and CEO of Paradigm. “We see Huntsville as a critical lynchpin to our continued growth and success as a company providing support to the defense and aerospace communities.”
Paradigm first opened its doors for business in the Tennessee Valley in 2001 with two employees. Since that time, the company has added 50 new employees providing support to local and national customers. In 2006, Paradigm’s Huntsville staff doubled.
“While today we celebrate the opening of our new office, what you really are seeing is a company on the move,” noted Mr. Furney Wood, Vice President in charge of Paradigm’s Huntsville Operations. “We’re experiencing very strong, very sustainable growth. We’re taking advantage of our core professional capabilities and matching those with the existing and emerging needs of our customers. In addition, we’re well positioned to continue to support the missile defense community as it moves to Huntsville under MDA’s reengineering efforts and the BRAC moves.”
“As Paradigm grows, I believe we will continue to see our Huntsville office become a larger part of the company,” Rob Koch explained. “Today, Huntsville represents roughly one-quarter of our workforce. But I see the day when our Huntsville operations will be more like half of our company. Furney and his team have already expanded Paradigm into new customer areas such as the Departments of Agriculture and Labor by providing vital strategic planning support.”
“As we open this new office, it’s important to know that we’re part of the community,” commented Furney Wood. “That’s why we’re delighted that Mayor Spencer and Mr. Player could both be here. I think their presence symbolizes what’s happening here. Most of our employees are life long members of the community and have gone to school and worked here. We’re also lucky to have some staff who have recently moved here from Northern Virginia as part of MDA’s move to Huntsville. Frankly, I’m excited because this is sign of growth for Huntsville and the north Alabama area, and we’re very glad to be a part of it.”
