It has been a long time since Paradigm was kind enough to provide me with Pay-it-Forward money to apply to my efforts with Soldiers' Angels supporting our deployed troops.  Over the last few months I have managed to mail several packages to individual soldiers and have told them about Paradigm's Pay-it-Forward program and that items in the care package were a direct result of the program.  While I haven't yet heard back from any of those soldiers I have a suspicion that one of the soldiers could be responsible for something I just received in the mail today. 

Imagine my surprise when in pulling out the various items I see a large colored envelope that has "Official U.S. Army Commendation Enclosed"!  Inside I have a letter and Certificate of Appreciation signed by General George Casey, Jr., and Mr. John McHugh thanking me for my support of our soldiers.  They also sent an Army lapel pin which the letter states "symbolizes the partnership between our Army, its Soldiers, their families and our communities" so really this truly unexpected acknowledgement also belongs to all those at Paradigm.  The name of the award is the U.S. Army Freedom Team Salute.

I'm still working on sending out the other items I was able to purchase with the Pay-it-Forward money along with my personal "stash" so I will be sure to let everyone know if I hear directly from any of our service members.
